Nottingham Forest v Blackpool - live updates

Key Events

  • FT: Forest 2-1 Blackpool
  • Injury-hit Seasiders return to action after international break
  • Neil Critchley’s side looking to pick up from where they left off
  • Forest rejuvenated under new boss Steve Cooper

It’s been a poor first-half from Blackpool’s perspective. They’re offering no attacking threat whatsoever.

Josh Bowler looks the most likely to make something happen, but his end product has been found wanting.

31 - Injury problems

Now it’s Tyreece John-Jules’ turn to receive medical treatment. Blackpool’s players are going down like flies.

Forest are very well-drilled, you can see the impact Steve Cooper has had in the few weeks he’s been at the helm.

The Seasiders are making little headway going forward at the moment.

Max Lowe has the beating of Jordan Gabriel once again, this time cutting in to shoot only to fire wide. Gabriel needs to get much closer to the Forest man.

22 - GOAL FOREST (1-0)

Jordan Gabriel is caught out on the right, allowing Max Lowe to get past him and deliver a cross to the back post, where Brennan Johnson had the simple task of tapping home.

Really soft goal to concede.

“4-3 to the Seasiders”, echoes from the away end.

Pool fans are having to entertain themselves at the moment.

Philip Zinckernagel goes into the book for a cynical foul on Tyreece John-Jules as Pool looked to break.

It’s been fairly tame stuff so far. Neither side has created anything of note.

Daniel Grimshaw has just been charged down by Brennan Johnson. Thankfully the ball goes behind for a goal kick.

The former Man City youngster has already been a bit wayward with his passing early on.

Josh Bowler has started really brightly. He’s just dribbled past a couple of Forest players before crossing for Gary Madine, who appeared to be wrestled to the ground.

The referee allows the game to continue though.
