Key Events

  • FT: Blackpool 1-2 Rangers
  • Seasiders take on Europa League finalists in third friendly of pre-season
  • Championship season begins in just two weeks’ time
  • Pool announce the signing of Lewis Fiorini prior to the game

66 - Another big save

Dan Grimshaw with another important save to deny John Souttar from close range.

Shayne Lavery and Jerry Yates on for CJ Hamilton and Gary Madine. Lavery playing out on the left.

Ryan Kent sends a dipping, swerving effort towards the top corner but Dan Grimshaw somehow manages to turn it over the bar. Some save

Rangers have been on top since the goal, leaving Blackpool camped in their own half.

The visitors are about to make wholesale chasnges, while Pool are also readying a couple.

51 - Goal Rangers (0-1)

Josh Bowler gives the ball away in a really poor area of the pitch, allowing Borna Barisic to curl beyond Dan Grimshaw.

Gary Madine wins his header inside the Rangers six-yard box from Sonny Carey’s corner, but it bounces down and away from the goal.

We’re back underway

Blackpool, unchanged from the first-half, get the game restarted.

Rangers have made a couple of changes.

Really promising half from the Seasiders, who have created two or three good chances and limited the visitors to very little.

Callum Connolly, Josh Bowler and Keshi Anderson the standout performers for me.

Blackpool go from one end to the other as an attack begins with a superb interception from Callum Connolly.

He sets up Josh Bowler, who provides a teasing cross to the back post which is turned behind for a corner.

Josh Bowler picks out CJ Hamilton with a superb crossfield ball, but the winger produces a poor pass to Rob Apter who had made a clever surging run into the box.
