It’s back to Bloomfield Road for Blackpool this afternoon as they host Luton Town on the back of two away trips to the Midlands.

How has that not gone in? Firstly the ball clearly hits the hand of a Luton defender. But nothing given. CJ (I think) hits the post before the ball is scrambled off the line.

The Seasiders gave it everything they had, but the injuries and illnesses are just proving too much. The squad is ravaged at this moment in time.

The WC break can’t come soon enough.

Update on illness hitting the squad

Keshi Anderson update

“It looks like his hamstring, it looks like the one he did prior to do his hamstring. So that’s not great,” Michael Appleton said.

“I won’t put a dampener on it too soon, because we’ll try and get the swelling down and get him scanned to see where we’re at.

“But as soon as you do your hamstring, even if it’s a slight straight, you’re not going to be ready for next week, put it that way.”

Jordan Thorniley update

“His performances have been excellent, he’s certainly been one of the players - from the way he’s approached it - he’s come in, having not started the season, and he’s been consistent in what he does,” Michael Appleton said.

“He gives us balance and it’s a real shame for him, because he’s another one we want to turn round and hopefully we can turn him round, but we’ll know more tomorrow.”
