Matt Scrafton's player ratings: Defender shows his versatility as Blackpool grind out scrappy win against Rochdale

Sullay Kaikai's first-half strike proved to be the difference as Blackpool ground out a scrappy, hard-earned 1-0 win against Rochdale last night.

Here's how Pool's players rated:

1. Chris Maxwell - 7/10

Another clean sheet for the Blackpool captain. Made a couple of important stops but otherwise kept quiet.

A constant threat up and down Blackpool’s right flank. Another top display and continues to keep Ollie Turton out of the side.

Little nervy early on but back to his best before being forced to hobble off with a serious-looking hamstring injury.

Started nervously, being caught out by an early long ball. But improved as the game wore on and produced a number of clearances.

Combined well with Sullay Kaikai down the left flank before being moved into the centre, where he didn’t put a foot wrong.

Recycled possession well but still not hitting the heights we know he’s capable of. Brought off in the second-half.
