22 - Calmly done...just

The ball is played back to Dan Grimshaw who dilly dallies for a second or two before cutting back and distributing the ball out to Dujon Sterling.

Bowler is getting into his stride now.

He’s just had another run towards the Bristol City goal, which saw the ball flick up and hit the midriff of a defender. The Pool fans felt it hit it a hand, but the referee waves play on.

Josh Bowler clips the corner towards Kenny Dougall on the edge of the box, but the midfielder fires his first-time effort into the South Stand.

Not a bad effort, but a difficult technique to control the ball and keep it down.

Josh Bowler gets the Pool fans off their seat with a trademark mazy run into the box, which results in the hosts winning their first corner of the game.

Dan Grimshaw gets two strong hands to push Antoine Semenyo’s powerful drive behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

Pool on top here and causing Bristol City a few problems, especially down the left through CJ Hamilton.

Callum Connolly looks to be fouled just outside the area, but the referee allows play to continue.

Jordan Gabriel’s long throw is flicked on into the six-yard box where it looks to be heading towards Jerry Yates, but keeper Max O’Leary gets out well to claim.

You’d think the inclement weather would have dampened today’s atmosphere, but that’s not been the case at all so far this afternoon. The North Stand are in fine voice as usual.

Bristol City’s corner is a dreadful one as they play the ball straight to the feet of Josh Bowler. He feeds the ball into Gary Madine, who has the chance to slip in CJ Hamilton on the break but he opts to cut back, which immediately slows down the attack.

The first corner of the game goes Bristol City’s way.

Good pace to this game early on.
