Ian Evatt passes verdict on Blackpool's summer transfer business after eight arrivals
Blackpool signed eight new players throughout the summer transfer window.
Ian Evatt believes the current spirit in the Blackpool squad is testament to the transfer business done over the summer.
The Seasiders added eight new players to their ranks throughout the recent window.
Jordan Williams, Finley Munroe, Jerry Yates and Dion Charles all arrived on loan, while Luke Southwood, Josh Earl, Ilmari Niskanen and Karoy Anderson all made permanent moves.
Reflecting on Blackpool’s business after Tuesday’s deadline, Evatt said: “The proof is in the pudding. Recruitment is always judged on performances, and so far I think our team has performed pretty well.”
The Seasiders head coach has been pleased by the unity demonstrated by his squad throughout the opening weeks of the campaign, despite some still being new to life at Squires Gate.
“I love the togetherness,” he added.
“I love what we’re building here. I love the culture and the environment. I love the connection with the supporters - it’s growing every single day and we’ll keep building on that.
“The players are here for this club - they’re fighting, they’re running, they’re competing, and they’re showing quality as well.”
