'He's a fans' favourite after just two games': Player ratings from Blackpool's Carabao Cup win against Middlesbrough

Blackpool booked their spot in the second round of the Carabao Cup last night with a comprehensive 3-0 win against Middlesbrough.

Here's how Pool's players rated:

7. Kenny Dougall - 8/10

An excellent, assured display on his return from injury. Made a difference in the middle of the park. A welcome return.

Absolutely unplayable at times and a nightmare to defend against. Only thing missing was a goal on his first start.

Made a mockery of the step-up from non-league. Set-piece delivery was excellent and his range of passing was on point.

Always a threat with his pace but didn’t really get into the game as much as he would have liked. Combination play wasn’t quite there.

Got the goal he deserved after a simply breathless display. A fans’ favourite after just two games, which says it all.

For Dougall, 46' Absolute everywhere with his constant closing down. Got himself up to the speed of the game in no time.
