Ex-Blackpool striker Armand Gnanduillet named in PFA's League One team of the year alongside Coventry City, Rotherham United and Peterborough United men

Former Blackpool striker Armand Gnanduillet has been named in the PFA’s team of the season for the 2019/20 campaign.

The Frenchman finished the season as the League’s joint-second highest goalscorer with 15 goals.

The 28-year-old scored 18 goals in all competition last term in 36 appearances in what was his fourth and final season with the club.

The forward turned down the offer of a new contract at Bloomfield Road and has since joined Turkish Second Division side Altay SK.

The man who topped the League One scoring charts with 24 goals, Peterborough United’s Ivan Toney, is also included in the team of the season.

Champions Coventry City boast four players, while Rotherham United and Oxford United have two each.

Meanwhile, the man who has replaced Gnanduillet as Blackpool’s number nine, Jerry Yates, has been included in the League Two version.

It follows a strong season on loan at Swindon Town, where the 23-year-old netted 13 times to help Richie Wellens’ men to the title.
