Date confirmed for Blackpool's FA Cup meeting with Birmingham City - with TV decision made

The two teams will meet at Bloomfield Road on Sunday December 1, with proceedings getting underway at 1pm.

Sonny Carey scored a brace in a 2-0 victory over Gillingham last weekend to help the Seasiders progress, while Birmingham overcame Sutton United in their first round tie.

The fixture will not be broadcast live on TV, with the game moved from the usual Saturday slot following police advice due to other local games taking place on the Saturday.

Harrogate Town V Gainsborough Trinity and Kettering Town V Doncaster Rovers will both be shown by the BBC, while Wealdstone V Wycombe Wanderers, AFC Wimbledon V Dagenham & Redbridge, and Solihull V Bromley will be covered by ITV.

Despite not being shown live, Blackpool’s game with Birmingham has been selected for BBC highlights, as Steve Bruce comes up against his former club.

The date of the game could impact the Seasiders League One meeting with Shrewsbury Town a few days later, with the two teams set to meet at Croud Meadow on December 3.
