Ekpiteta improving with every game for Blackpool

The Seasiders have enjoyed a revival in recent weeks, winning their last four games in all competitions and five in their last six.

The upturn in form comes after Neil Critchley’s side made a worrying start to the campaign that saw them lose six of their first nine games.

Kemp, who scored his first Blackpool goal in last week’s EFL Trophy win against Leeds United Under-21s, is pleased with the direction the Seasiders are heading in.

The West Ham United loanee said: “It was another win for the boys as well and we really feel we’re picking up momentum now. It’s something we want to continue.

“We have a little break now. As a player, when you’re winning and you’re scoring you want to keep playing.

“But it’s a good chance to recharge a little bit, but not too much, and then have a good week in training before we return to the league again against Peterborough.

“Even when we were losing we still had a good morale. Everyone kept believing in each other because we weren’t playing too badly.

“The results weren’t coming for us at the start of the season but we were all confident we could turn it around.

“The results weren’t going our way but they are now, which is a great feeling and a big boost. We can push on even further now.

“Now we’ve picked up these wins it’s great because we can go on even further I believe.
