Comparing Steve Bruce's first six league games with Blackpool to his spells with likes of Newcastle United, Hull City and Sunderland

Blackpool have enjoyed a strong start to life under Steve Bruce.

On the back of the 63-year-old’s appointment at Bloomfield Road last month, the Seasiders have climbed up the League One table.

Bruce’s tenure started with a 2-1 home victory over Exeter City, with James Husband bagging a late winner.

Following that, Blackpool overcame both Charlton Athletic and Huddersfield Town on the road, before claiming a further three points against Burton Albion on their return to the Fylde Coast.

There were a couple of blips ahead of the international break, with a draw at home to Lincoln City and a defeat to Mansfield Town at Field Mill.

Bruce is an experienced coach, who has managed his fair share of clubs in the past.
