Blackpool's contracts situation should start to become clearer

Now a decision to end the current season has finally been made, that gives Blackpool the clarity needed to plan ahead for the 2020/21 campaign.

The club have decisions to make over a host of key players that are out of contract at the end of the season.

The Seasiders are at risk of losing top goalscorer Armand Gnanduillet and captain Jay Spearing for free this summer.

Mark Howard, Chris Maxwell, Christoffer Mafoumbi and Ollie Turton are also out of contract.

The same goes for Liam Feeney, Michael Nottingham, Sean Scannell, Yusifu Ceesay and Sean Graham.

However, the club does hold the option to extend their respective deals by 12 months should they wish to do so.

Myles Boney, Nathan Delfouneso, Jamie Devitt, Ryan Edwards, Ben Garrity, Ryan Hardie, Teddy Howe, James Husband, Sullay Kaikai, Calum Macdonald, Gary Madine, Joe Nuttall, Nathan Shaw, Jordan Thorniley, Matty Virtue, Grant Ward, Jack Sims and Adi Yussuf are all under contract.

Loanees Jak Alnwick (Rangers), Marc Bola (Middlesbrough), Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Leicester City), Ben Heneghan (Sheffield United) and Connor Ronan (Wolves) will all return to their parent clubs.

Alnwick and Heneghan are out of contract at the end of the season and will be available on free transfers.
