Blackpool's Arsenal loanee named in Northern Ireland squad for upcoming games against Slovakia, Austria and Romania
Blackpool defender Dan Ballard has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming triple header.
The 21-year-old will be looking to pick up his fourth cap after being named in Ian Barraclough's 26-man squad.
Northern Ireland take on Slovakia at Windsor Park on Thursday, November 12 in their crucial play-off to qualify for Euro 2020.
If they're successful, they will face Spain, Poland and Sweden in next year's competition.
Northern Ireland then face Nations League group games against Austria (November 15) and Romania (November 18).
The Arsenal loanee will subsequently miss Blackpool's EFL Trophy group game against Leeds United's Under-21s, which takes place next Wednesday.
Ballard remains unavailable for Sunday's FA Cup first round tie against Eastbourne Borough, as he serves the final game of his three-match suspension for the red card he received in the recent defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
The centre-back will be back for Blackpool's next league game, which is away to league leaders Peterborough United on Saturday, November 21.
Ballard recently claimed his third cap for Northern Ireland in their recent Nations League game against Norway, where he came up against Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland.
