Blackpool youngster extends loan spell with AFC Fylde until the end of the season

The 20-year-old has been in impressive form for the Coasters this season, making 19 appearances for the National League North outfit.
Shaw has scored twice for Jim Bentley's men so far this term, also producing numerous assists.

Hide AdThe versatile winger joined the Coasters in October to gain some valuable game time and the Seasiders will continue to monitor his development during the second half of the campaign.
Nick Chadwick, who is taking charge of Fylde while Bentley recovers from heart surgery, said: “We are delighted to extend Nathan’s stay and look forward to continuing to work with him.
“Nathan has done excellent and his contribution has been outstanding for a player of his age. He has grasped the opportunity here with us, gaining valuable experience and seamlessly settling into the environment.
“When he arrived, he had completed an excellent pre-season at Blackpool and built up expectations that he has certainly lived up to.

Shaw, a product of Blackpool’s academy, impressed under Neil Critchley during pre-season, but was left out of Blackpool's squads at the start of the campaign.
He did, however, start Blackpool’s goalless EFL Trophy draw against Barrow at the start of September.

Hide AdShaw made his competitive Blackpool debut last season in the 5-1 EFL Trophy win against Morecambe, going on to make one further appearance in the competition.
