The Seasiders recently offered Turton fresh terms at Bloomfield Road and are still awaiting a decision from the full-back.

The 27-year-old was one of three players offered a new contract when the club announced its retained list in mid-June.

Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell was quick to put pen to paper on a new deal, while club captain Jay Spearing has decided to part ways with the Seasiders after failing to agree terms.

The club are waiting to learn where right-back Turton sees his future.

Turton, who knows head coach Neil Critchley from their time at Crewe Alexandra, moved to Bloomfield Road in June 2017, bringing an end to his seven-year spell at Gresty Road.

Turton, who is also capable of playing at left-back and in central midfield, has made 120 appearances for the Seasiders over the last three seasons, scoring three times.

The club brought in further competition at right-back during the January transfer window in the form of Teddy Howe, who joined on a permanent deal from Championship side Reading.

It came after the 21-year-old, who has yet to make his Pool debut, impressed in the Royals’ FA Cup third-round ties against Blackpool in January.

Michael Nottingham, who recently had a 12-month extension on his contract triggered by the club, is also capable of playing at right-back.
