Key Events

  • FT: Blackpool 0-1 Coventry City
  • Seasiders searching for first league win of the season
  • Josh Bowler and Shayne Lavery both pushing to start

Coventry hit back with a great chance for Gustavo Hamer, who fires across the face of goal and just wide. The referee has given a corner, so Chris Maxwell must have got a touch.

This time it’s Keshi Anderson who goes close, skipping past a couple of challenges before firing towards the near post, but Simon Moore turns it around the post.

Bloomfield Road is bouncing now!

Josh Bowler does superbly to beat his man down the right before delivery an excellent low ball into the Coventry box - but it’s behind everyone!

Much, much better nonetheless.

56 - Lavery denied again!

Shayne Lavery goes close for a third time!

The striker latches onto Jerry Yates’ flick-on before firing low towards goal, but Simon Moore makes the save.

Callum O’Hare is good, but he’s literally just been allowed to run 20 yards without a single player putting a challenge in.

O’Hare’s eventual shot takes a deflection and drops wide. Close.

Callum O’Hare skips past Richard Keogh far too easily by the touchline. The midfielder cuts it back into Blackpool’s six-yard box, but Pool are able to clear.

This is still so, so poor from the home side.

Viktor Gyokeres lays the ball back into the path of Ian Maatsen, who blazes over. The ball appeared to hit the hand of the Coventry striker before he laid it off.

We’re back underway

Coventry get the game restarted.

Both sides emerge unchanged, which is a bit of a surprise.
