Blackpool v Bournemouth - live updates

Key Events

  • FT: Blackpool 1-2 Bournemouth
  • Seasiders looking to maintain unbeaten start to 2022 in the league
  • Neil Critchley’s side have won their last three games at Bloomfield Road

CJ Hamilton causes Bournemouth problems again, chipping a dangerous ball towards Gary Madine who lays it off to Josh Bowler, whose first-time effort is blocked.

The referee had whistled for a foul anyway.

Josh Bowler cuts in from the right before unleashing a shot which he doesn’t quite get right, but it still finds its way to the bottom corner where Mark Travers gets over to make the save.

Pool immediately break and force an opening down the left for CJ Hamilton, who volleys just over.

Imagine the scenes if that had gone in!

27 - PENALTY SAVED!! (0-0)

Dan Grimshaw guesses the right way to deny Dominic Solanke!! The keeper gets better and better!

The North Stand erupts.

Jordan Gabriel is adjudged to have brought down a Bournemouth player in the box. Looks like there was some contact, but the player goes down VERY easily.

Soft.

Bowler plays the corner short to Dujon Sterling, whose deep cross is headed back towards the danger area by Gary Madine. But Bournemouth are able to clear.

Josh Bowler, a little quiet so far against the side he was strongly linked with last month, wins Blackpool a corner. The winger will take it.

Jordan Gabriel wins Blackpool a free-kick to ease a bit of pressure.

I can’t really work Bournemouth out at the moment. One minute they look really dangerous, the next they look distinctly average. Hopefully we see more of the latter.

Dominic Solanke gets in between Blackpool’s two centre backs to run onto a long ball over the top, but fortunately for the home side his touch lets him down and Dan Grimshaw sees it out for a goal kick.

CJ Hamilton's low shot is straight at the keeper following good build-up play with Josh Bowler.
