Cauley Woodrow does well to take the ball down on his chest, before swivelling and shooting from at least 30 yards. He doesn’t quite catch the volley though and it trickles well wide of Chris Maxwell’s goal.

After a frantic start, the game has just calmed down a little. Both sets of supporters have quietened down a little too.

Keshi Anderson lays the ball back to Luke Garbutt 25 yards from goal, but his drive looks to be heading well over. Thankfully it flicks off a Barnsley player and Blackpool have a corner.

11 - Barnsley corner

Tyreece John-Jules is back doing his defensive duties well to block a cross out for a Barnsley corner.

The Tykes look certain to score from the resulting delivery, but Pool somehow scramble clear. It was desperate though!

Keshi Anderson does superbly down the left flank before pulling the ball back into the path of Shayne Lavery, whose close-range effort is well saved by keeper Brad Collins.

A minute later, Lavery’s dangerous delivery is cleared behind for a Pool corner. Seasiders threatening here.

The first corner of the day goes the way of Blackpool, but Luke Garbutt’s deep delivery is overhit. Former Barnsley man Kenny Dougall tried to keep it alive before conceding a free-kick.

Barnsley attack well with some swift one-touch passing. A deep cross reaches Callum Brittain at the back post, but he can’t quite direct his header at goal.

The away side play a long ball forward from kick off which Richard Keogh deftly heads back to Chris Maxwell. The Tykes are back in possession now though.

Barnsley’s Callum Styles gets today’s game underway.

Bloomfield Road is absolutely rocking - come on you Pool!!
