Blackpool sign winger CJ Hamilton from Mansfield Town

The 25-year-old has joined on a three-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Hamilton made 173 appearances, scoring 20 goals, over four seasons with the Stags and becomes Blackpool's fifth new signing of the summer on the same day the Seasiders confirmed the re-signing of Oliver Turton for next season.

A product of the Sheffield United Academy, Hamilton joined Mansfield in 2016 after loan spells with National League clubs Halifax and Gateshead.

His 14 goals in the 2018/19 season helped Mansfield to reach the League Two play-offs.

He told the Blackpool FC website: “I’m really looking forward to the future here and I can’t wait to get started.

“I enjoyed my time at Mansfield, but after speaking to Neil Critchley I knew I wanted to come to Blackpool.

" The vision that the owner, board and head coach have for the club is hugely exciting and I’m hopeful we can deliver the goods come the end of the season.”

Head coach Critchley said: “We’re delighted to welcome CJ to Blackpool, who we feel will bring a real energy to the team.

“His speed is a tremendous asset in the attacking third of the pitch and he is extremely versatile. He is someone who I’m really looking forward to working with and developing further.
