Neil Critchley: Easter wins so timely for Blackpool side full of confidence

The winger made the move to Edgeley Park on a one-month loan deal at the start of March.

But the 20-year-old, who previously enjoyed a loan spell with AFC Fylde, made just two appearances for Stockport and saw just 56 minutes of action.

He made his debut off the bench during the 3-0 win against Eastleigh as a 79th-minute substitute.

He then started the 1-1 draw against Hartlepool, only to be brought off at half-time.

"Nathan Shaw has been recalled by parent club Blackpool " Stockport announced on Twitter.

"We thank Nathan for all his efforts whilst here and wish him well for the future."

Shaw, a product of Blackpool’s academy, impressed for Blackpool during pre-season, but was left out of Neil Critchley's squads at the start of the campaign.

He did, however, start Blackpool’s goalless EFL Trophy draw against Barrow at the start of September 2020.

Shaw made his competitive Blackpool debut last season in the 5-1 EFL Trophy win against Morecambe, going on to make one further appearance in the competition.
