The Seasiders have picked up four points from their opening two League One games, following a 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers and a 2-1 victory away to Stockport County.
Tom Bloxham and Josh Bowler were both on the scoresheet at Edgeley Park, as Ian Evatt’s side demonstrated some impressive qualities on the road.
There was midweek disappointment in the form of a 4-1 defeat to Lincoln City in the EFL Cup.
The game had been evenly matched up until a red card for Zac Ashworth following the break, with a second bookable offence for the defender resulting in a one-match ban.
In his absence, new defensive signing Josh Earl could make his debut, while Evatt now also has the option of Jerry Yates after his return to the club.
