The Seasiders are currently on a five game winless run in the league, but did pick up a 2-0 victory against Gillingham in the FA Cup last Saturday.
Steve Bruce opted to change the entirety of the starting XI for the midweek EFL Trophy game against Liverpool U21s, but the line-up for the trip to the capital will most likely be more similar to the one named at Priestfield Stadium.
The fixture is set to come too soon for the injured James Husband and Ollie Norburn, while Rob Apter and CJ Hamilton could be close to being in contention.
