The Seasiders squandered a first-half lead in Stephen Dobbie’s first game in charge to lose their eighth away game on the spin.
Despite the result, there were some signs for optimism, with Blackpool looking well organised during an impressive first-half display.
Here’s how Pool’s players rated:
7. MAN OF THE MATCH: Lewis Fiorini - 8/10
Performed well after being brought back in from the cold. Always showing for the ball and helped dictate things from the base of the midfield in the first-half. Also produced the free-kick for Lyons’ goal. Photo: CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
8. Sonny Carey - 5/10
Struggled to impose himself on the game again. Fiorini and Anderson linked up well but Carey failed to have the same impact in midfield. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
9. Keshi Anderson - 7/10
Linked up well with Fiorini and showed some lovely deft touches before being replaced just after the hour mark. Photo: CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
10. Josh Bowler - 6/10
Had a couple of good chances and always a threat down the right, but guilty of giving the ball away too often as well. Photo: CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
11. CJ Hamilton - 6/10
Pace down the left caused problems for Luton’s backline, but lacked a cutting edge in the final third. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
12. Morgan Rogers - 6/10
Tough job leading the line but did okay. Linked up well with Hamilton during the first-half but second period was more of a struggle. Photo: CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
