Neil Critchley’s players find themselves in the bottom four after losing three of their opening four league games, but Ward believes Pool have been much better than their results suggest.

Hide Ad“I don’t think the results tell the whole story,” the 25-year-old said.
“There’s been a lot of positives from the games we’ve played and we haven’t had the results we’ve deserved. It’s still early on and we’ve got to stay positive.
“The football now is very different to when I first arrived in January. There’s a lot more onus on the team attacking and defending together and there’s a lot more focus on pressing and winning the ball back further up the pitch.
“It’s going to take time, but we’re getting there and we seem to get better each day we train.
“In the games we’ve played, we’ve dominated the ball and had more attempts on goal but it’s just not falling for us at the minute. But it’ll come.”
