The Scot, who turns 38 in December, is still banging in the goals north of the border for Queen of the South.
Dobbie, who enjoyed four loan spells with the Seasiders between 2010 and 2014 followed by one at Fleetwood Town, plundered 43 goals for the Scottish Championship side last season.

While he is still enjoying his football, Dobbie has no plans to call it a day. He told The Gazette: “I’ve signed for next year but I always wait until December/January time to see how the legs are doing and how I’m feeling.
“I think you’ll know when age is catching up with you but I’ve signed for next season, and I’m still feeling fit and healthy. We’ll wait and see but it would be nice to try to make 40.
“I’m still scoring goals but, more importantly, I’m still enjoying it. As long as I’m waking up every morning and enjoying training, I’ll do it for as long as I can.
“If you’re waking up and not looking forward to going in to play football, then it’s the time to call it a day.”

“We’re settled here,” he added. “The kids love it and go to school here. I can’t really see us moving now.
“The commute isn’t too bad. The train goes straight from Preston to Glasgow.
“I get a bit of peace and quiet from the kids, which can be nice!”
