The defender was sent off after just one minute in the previous fixture between the two sides in October, hauling Omar Bogle to the ground.

The Addicks, who also ended the game with 10 men, claimed a narrow 1-0 win thanks to Chuks Aneke’s late strike.

Blackpool completed an impressive league double over Portsmouth last weekend and will be aiming to avoid a second defeat to Lee Bowyer’s side when they visit The Valley.

Husband said: “I’ve got bad memories about that one, so hopefully we can reverse the result and get a win.

“I was pleased with my performance at Portsmouth last week but it wasn’t just about me – the boys were terrific.

“We spoke about our game plan before the game and I thought we executed it perfectly.

“I can’t really say much more than that – it was a wonderful three points. To get six points off them is a good return in the end.”

Husband’s error during the first game with Charlton came when he was filling in at centre-back.

The defender, whose preferred position is at left-back, had also been shown a red card while featuring in the middle during the 3-2 defeat to Lincoln City earlier in October.

Despite the high-profile mistakes, Blackpool boss Neil Critchley has shown faith in Husband and opted to utilise him at centre-back in recent weeks.

It comes after Marvin Ekpiteta recently suffered a hamstring injury, while fellow defender Daniel Gretarsson remains sidelined.

Husband has certainly repaid that faith, producing two man-of-the-match performances against Rochdale and Portsmouth.

“I think we’re all happy to slot in wherever the gaffer needs us,” the 27-year-old said.

“Wherever I’m needed, I’ll play. Obviously my preferred position is left-back but we’ve been a bit short at centre-back with Marv getting injured, so I’m happy to fill in wherever.”

After the postponement of their midweek game against Doncaster Rovers, the Seasiders are heading to London this weekend looking to claim a much-needed three points to further cut the gap to the League One play-off positions.

While Blackpool remain in excellent form, having won four of their last five matches, they remain nine points off the top six, albeit with games in hand.

When asked if he’d rather have the points on the board or games in hand, Husband said: “It means you can catch the teams above you but you’ve got to win the games, first and foremost.

“Most people would like the points on board rather than the games in hand, but if you’re in good form like we are, then I don’t see any reason why we can’t convert those games into points.”
