The Scotland Under-21 international will link up with his former Blackpool captain Jay Spearing at Prenton Park.

Rovers manager Mike Jackson, the former Seasiders defender, said: "I would like to first of all thank Blackpool for allowing Calum to join us on loan for the season.

“Calum is a bright young player with good experience, having played a number of games in League One last season. He has a great left foot and is also good at getting forward too. He glides across the pitch and he will provide us with plenty of different options."
