Blackpool midfielder earns Jamaica call-up following bright spell after Charlton Athletic move
Blackpool’s Karoy Anderson has been selected for Jamaica duty.
Karoy Anderson has become Blackpool’s third international call-up ahead of the break from League One action.
In anticipation of players being selected by their respective nations, the Seasiders’ upcoming games against Notts County and Leicester City were postponed last week.
On Tuesday, Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Dion Charles were both named in the Northern Ireland squad for the upcoming round of Nations League fixtures.

Anderson will also be on his travels after being picked by Jamaica, as he looks to build on his 19 caps for The Reggae Boyz.
Since making the permanent move to Bloomfield Road back in July, the ex-Charlton Athletic midfielder has been able to build on the performances he produced while on loan in Tangerine in the second half of last season.
Alongside this, the 21-year-old has also been entrusted with the captain’s armband in the absence of others.
Jamaica are in Concacaf Nations League action throughout the upcoming international window, taking on Guatemala (September 26) in Kingston, before meetings with Honduras home (September 29) and away (October 6) either side of a trip to El Salvador (October 3).

Discussing his selection, Anderson said: “I’m looking forward to it a lot. It’s always something you look forward to, it’s another great opportunity that I’m grateful for.
“It’s not something you get used to, it’s still a very big achievement. My family and friends are proud every time I go away to represent my country.
“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment. The manager (Ian Evatt) is challenging me in different ways and it’s pushing me to grow every single day - focussing on all the small little details in training so I can take that into the games. Getting the call-up is a by-product of that.”
