Blackpool and Fleetwood Town discover League Cup second round opponents

Blackpool face a trip to Doncaster Rovers in the second round of the League Cup, while Fleetwood Town have been drawn away to Premier League side Leicester City.

Pool made the second round after beating Barnsley 3-1 at home on Tuesday thanks to goals from Michael Nottingham, Harry Pritchard and Armand Gnanduillet.

Fleetwood, meanwhile, overcame Crewe Alexandra on penalties after drawing 1-1 during normal time to proceed to the second round of the competition for the first time in their history.

This will be the second consecutive season Fleetwood will have faced Leicester, having taken the former Premier League champions to a replay in the FA Cup last season.

Second round ties will be played in the week commencing Monday, August 27.
