BFC FIXTURES 2016/17: FULL LIST REVEALED

Blackpool open the season with a home game against Exeter City, but it's the Tuesday night trips which will cause shock for fans.

The Seasiders face a number of long-distance trips during their upcoming League Two campaign, with 8,742 miles worth of travelling ahead.

And Pool’s long suffering fans won’t fancy the idea of a 564-mile round trip to Portsmouth on Valentine’s night, kick-off 7:45pm.

Only two clashes this season are within an hour’s drive, with the second game of the season seeing them make the short trip to Morecambe.

Another dreadful Tuesday night trip follows just three days later, to Barnet on August 16.

The club’s shortest away trip of the season comes in October, with the 36-mile drive to Accrington Stanley (15/10).

September isn’t looking much better, with long drives to Yeovil (03/09) and Colchester (10/09) on consecutive weekends.

Boxing Day will see a trip to the North East to face Hartlepool United, with a less than attractive trip to Grimsby on New Year’s Eve.

Should Bowyer’s men be in the thick of promotion or relegation action come the end of the season, they’ll have a run-in of Doncaster away (17/04), Cheltenham home (22/04) and Notts County away (29/04) before ending the season at home to Leyton Orient (06/05).
