Tollitt took home the match ball as the Coasters beat Chorley 4-0 at Mill Farm, making up for the loss at Victory Park on Boxing Day.

“He’s been a strong player for us and he’s always a threat,” Chadwick said of the 26-year-old, who joined the club over the summer.

“He’s on top of the world but he’s a threat, a goalscoring threat from one of the four attacking positions, and that’s what we look for.

“He can improve. When he came to us, we spoke about working with him and looking for him to improve.

“He’s certainly doing that and the challenge for Ben is can he consistently perform at that level?

“He’s a good player, a player who sort of lost his way a bit in recent seasons, but we’re delighted to have him and to work with him.

“He’s really receptive to the work we’ve tried to do and it’s probably his best performance for us.”

Danny Philliskirk grabbed the other goal as victory moved the Coasters into fourth place in National League North.

They are one of three teams on 24 points, seven behind the leaders Gloucester City but with three games in hand.

Chadwick said: “It was a good win and I thought the football was good.

“We looked organised and I thought we passed the ball a lot better than we did in the away fixture on Boxing Day, so we’re happy.”
