The Coasters head to Victory Park this afternoon for the first of two National League North fixtures in eight days against derby rivals Chorley.

Between that double-header comes a home clash with Southport being the visitors to Mill Farm on Monday afternoon.

Fylde have slipped to third place after winning just one of their last five in the league but Chadwick is well aware the coming week could change the complexion of the table.

He told The Gazette: “ Like every team, we’d like to have more points but there are plenty of games to go.

“The key is to stay focused and concentrate on performance.

“Consistently good performances are what we are looking for.

“We would like to be flying high at the top but it’s a stop-start season and things can change quickly.

“We have two games in hand on the leaders Gloucester but York are just behind us with games in hand.

“It is a tradition at this level to play the same team twice over Christmas.

“One thing I’d say for it is that it cuts down on travel, but at the end of the day you have to play everyone twice, so it doesn’t really matter if you play both games in a week or several months apart.”
