Second-half goals from Nathan Shaw and Ben Tollitt saw the Coasters defeat Farsley Celtic 2-0 when they met at Mill Farm.

It capped a hectic few days which saw Fylde win their FA Cup tie against Altrincham before following it up with National League North victories over Kettering Town and Farsley.

That made it four wins from four in the league, as well as seven from seven in all competitions.

Bentley (pictured) said: “It’s been a big week, it’s been a tough week.

“It’s not seven days, it’s been six days with the Altrincham game being on Sunday.

“I’m proud of the lads, it’s three big wins for us. Getting through in the FA Cup gave us a little start to the week, then two wins in the league.

“I’m really pleased today, there’s a couple of different scorers again and it was all hands to the pump at times.

“It was a tough, tough game. I’m learning all the time about the division.

“There’s no-one you can underestimate. Farsley are good at what they do.

“They are a physical side. Jimmy Spencer led the line well, he gets hold of the ball.

“They looked lively down the right side. We could have been one down after two minutes.

“As I say, it was a tough game for us but, on another day, we could have scored a lot more than the two we did, and on another day, we could have conceded one or two.

“They have hit the post at the end, they had the chance after a couple of minutes but, overall, I think we deserved to win.

“There were some strong performances, some we needed a little bit more, but you have to take everything into consideration.

“We’ve tried to freshen the side up today because of the games coming thick and fast.

“I think we will play better. We’re playing some nice stuff but I do believe that we’ve got more in the tank.”
