AFC Fylde eagerly await Cup draw

AFC Fylde manager Dave Challinor will be close at hand when the first round draw for the FA Cup is made on Monday evening, live on BBC-2.

The Coasters’ manager has been invited to attend the draw, which takes at the club-house of Yorkshire team Thackley Juniors FC.

Following last season’s tour around the country, the FA Cup is back out on the road this campaign, and its first stop is the clubhouse at Thackley Juniors FC.

The FA Charter Standard community club, based near Bradford, provides football opportunities for 33 boys and girls teams across 12 age groups and will host the draw as Football League One and Two clubs enter the competition.

AFC Fylde made it to this stage with a 1-0 win over Barrow in the fourth qualifying round on Saturday.

It is the third time that AFC Fylde have made made it to the first round proper, having lost at that stage to Accrington Stanley and Plymouth Argyle.

AFC Fylde are ball number 50 in the draw.

Blackpool are five and the Fleetwood number to watch is 20.
