AFC Fylde have strengthened their squad with the loan signing of Camron Gbadebo from Manchester City until the end of the season.

The strong, commanding defender arrives at Mill Farm after starring for City’s Elite Development Squad this season.

Gbadebo will now be looking to further his development after joining the Coasters on a temporary basis.

The 18-year-old made the move to the Premier League giants last January, having initially progressed through Leicester City’s academy system.

Commenting on the signing, AFC Fylde boss Jim Bentley, said: “We’re really excited to be getting a young prospect from one of the best academy set-ups in the world.

“He comes highly recommended, so we are looking forward to working with him.

“He’s currently returning from an injury, so will join us in a couple of weeks once he is back to full fitness.

“We would like to place on record our thanks to Manchester City for trusting us with Camron’s development.

“Hopefully, this will be the start of a strong relationship in which both clubs can benefit.”

Gbadebo will join up with Bentley’s side within the next two weeks, as he edges closer to a return from injury.
