AFC Fylde boss Nick Chadwick expects reaction at Leamington after first league defeat

Last weekend's match at York City was postponed - for the second successive Saturday Fylde's scheduled opponents were forced to self-isolate after positive coronavirus tests - meaning the Coasters have had a whole week to lick the wounds of last Tuesday's 2-0 setback at Curzon.
Assistant manager Chadwick, back in charge of the side as Jim Bentley self-isolates ahead of his rescheduled heart bypass surgery next week, said: "Yes, you'd rather get straight back on the horse after a defeat but it has given us a week to work on things and make one or two improvements. We've trained well and are ready to bounce back."

"It was going the way we wanted but then we conceded a goal on the break and got the red card (for David Perkins), but these things happen.
"We responded well and could have got something from the game. But we will have these challenges and now we'll see how we react."
Fylde remain second in the table but now trail leaders Gloucester City by seven points, though with two games in hand.

"The squad is healthy and after a full week of training we expect a performance."
Fylde's visit to York City has been rearranged for Tuesday, January 12, with a 7pm kick-off.
