AFC Blackpool suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday when they went down 1-0 at Steeton.
The Mechanics had the majority of the chances and it was a fourth minute goal that decided the game as Andy Briggs headed home, giving Alex Cameron no chance.
After that early setback AFC had numerous chances but failed to convert them.
Both sides had chances to score before the break with Steeton squandering a chance after Martin Baird’s attempted interception only saw him prod the ball past the onrushing Cameron.
They also missed three other opportunities, while at the other end, Ben Duffield headed over from close range and Carnan Dawson’s free-kick was just wide.
AFC had most of the possession in the second half and had enough chances to take three points.
Danny Pickering fired just wide, Dawson sent an effort narrowly off target before he was unlucky not to score from another free-kick, Duffield was unsuccessful with an acrobatic attempt, Steeton defender Steve Pearson’s vital touch turned the ball over the bar before the ball was headed off the line from, one last corner.
