AFC Blackpool safe despite postponement
AFC Blackpool's Easter Monday fixture at Bacup is off ... but so is the pressure.
The Jepson Way club are officially safe from relegation in the Hallmark Security League first division following bottom club Ashton Town’s 2-0 home defeat by Stockport Town on Sunday.
That result leaves 19th-placed AFC 14 points clear of bottom two Ashton and Eccleshall with only 12 points still up for grabs.
The Bacup match was postponed due a waterlogged pitch and has been rescheduled for Wednesay (7.45pm), when AFC’s neighbours Squires Gate are in premier division action at Darwen.
