It means that the North West Counties League first division north club, whose match against Lower Breck this Wednesday had already been called off, have now been forced to postpone Saturday's match at Prestwich Heys, the visit to Pilkington on Wednesday 21 and the home clash with Nelson on Saturday 24.

It follows the a positive Covid-10 test for a first-team player after Saturday's FA Vase win away to Esh Winning in County Durham.

A club statement reads: "In accordance with government and FA guidelines, all football training and activities involving the first team and backroom staff will cease for 14 days. All relevant steps are being followed with further tests being taken or on order.

"Formal requests have been made to the NWCFL seeking postponement of the fixtures falling within the 14-day period.

"The club would like to thank the NWCFL for their understanding and assistance in this matter."
