Fleetwood sign Fylde star

He will team up at Melbourne Avenue with his one-time Fylde colleague, Fleetwood player-coach Roger Banks.

Aikman played for Waterloo and Halifax before joining Fylde - he has also represented Lancashire and England Counties.

He has been a regular at scrum-half for Fylde in the past three seasons, but lost his first-choice berth to Martin Wallwork for the latter half of Fylde’s promotion-winning campaign.

He will be a key addition to the Fleetwood squad with his speed off the mark and skill.
