Danish delight for BWFAC's Vet Brett


Having won his heat in 51.71s, Rund lined up alongside two other British runners in the final, which saw competitors from six different nationalities.
Rund won in 51.12s, ahead of Denmark’s Brian Jaergensen (51.54) and Sweden’s Anders Logg (52.83).

Hide AdKaty Wyper won a bronze in the 200m at the CAU Inter Counties Championships with a time of 24.44s in the final in addition to fifth place in the 100m final (12.07s).
She has also been chosen as part of the Scottish 4x100m relay team for the home international next Wednesday at Sportcity in Manchester.
The final Northern Athletics League match was held at Bolton where, with the league positions more or less decided and the holiday season in full swing, most teams were under strength.
The BWFAC team was no exception as it finished fourth and kept third place in the league.

Hide AdKaty Wyper claimed a sprint double with victories also recorded by Nia Rutter (100m hurdles, shot put, triple jump, high jump) and Susan Ball (hammer, discus).
Bev Wright was 53rd in 70:48 at the Lancaster 10 Mile race with Dawn Maher 1,218th in 50:47 at the York 10K.
There were 28 runners at the August Club 3.73 mile Handicap with Dave Williamson first home in 22:44, Jess Rogers fastest lady in 23:56 and PBs posted by Michelle Tickle (26:29), Tracey Sharrock (34:40) and Clare Clarke (35:28).
BWFAC’s Jack Tickle was second at the Blackpool parkrun in 19:08.

Hide AdSimon Tickle (12th) posted a course PB of 21:26 and led in Michelle Tickle (20th, 22:02), Jeff Wilson (31st, 22:35), Lucy Tickle (42nd, 24:20), Peter Gibson (43rd), Danielle Baines (54th, 24:56), Thomas Wilkinson (89th, 28:54), Bob Massey (96th, 29:22) and Andy Hume (34:59, 135th).
Paul Sparrow (10th, 19:40) and Tom Romney (20th, 21:22) both competed at Lytham Hall.
