Ecc arrived at Church Road as league leaders and retained top spot despite their hosts’ comprehensive 71-run win.

Lytham were put in and were given a solid start by captain Harrison Child, who scored 26 from 24 balls, and fellow opener Alex Higham, with 36 from 35.

Alex hit five fours and Harrison four to set their side on their way to a target of 110-8 from their 20 overs.

But the Great Eccleston attack hit back well, ensuring only one other batsman reached double figures as Samuel Mellodew, Ciaran Medd and Dylan Derkley all took two wickets.

But if Child and Higham had been powerful with the bat, they were totally dominant with the ball, sharing seven wickets as the visitors were skittled out for 39.

Child took four wickets for five runs and Higham three for eight, both bowling four overs.
