Youngsters at Fylde Cricket Club on Moorland Road, Poulton took part in fun games on Monday in aid of Breast Cancer awareness.

And former Blackpool FC skipper Charlie Adam popped in for a quick knockabout – but his thunder was stolen when he was caught out by junior Ryan Galligan.

Organiser Angela Galligan said: “Many thanks again to all who came down to club day. Everyone has helped to make the day what it was whether it was cooking food, making cakes, selling raffle tickets, umpiring, playing or making cups of tea.

“We are very grateful.

“It was a successful day and all money will be forwarded to this worthy cause.”
