Davies lands first title

You just have to accept it and make the best of it. It is all part of the experience. It is never easy in boxing."He was probably the hardest of the three I had been down to fight."Trizno had very a dangerous right hand and he kept trying to load up with it, but I managed to counter it."I am in boxing to win titles against even better men."On the same promotion, Blackpool's Alex McCloy made it six wins out of six with a handy points win over inexperienced Darryl Sharp, of Manchester.McCloy's trainer Jeff Thomas was pleased with the super-welterweight's performance in the six-rounder.Thomas said: "This was the third southpaw that Alex has faced and he is coming along nicely."He started well and Sharp began to come into it more in the middle rounds, but Alex finished the stronger."Sharp had a point deducted at one stage for hitting Alex on the back of the head."The plan is for Alex to have a bit of a break now and maybe box again in August or September."
