Askin taken to hospital after ring fall drama
Askin needed medical attention and a stretcher was called to carry him away, though thankfully any injuries that he sustained were not thought to be serious.
Talking from the ambulance, Askin’s manager Paul Speak said: “He’s ok, but we can’t say more about any injury because we are on the way to the hospital right now.”

This sparked chaotic scenes and some fans of Askin were reported to have got into the ring in appparent attempt to reach Bennett, who was whisked away to the dressing room by security men,
Earlier in that fateful, eventful first round, Askin had touched down on to the canvas, but the referee ruled that it was a slip and not a genuine knockdown.
