Now Dunelm has announced it will be welcoming customers back into its stores again. This is everything you need to know.

Which Dunelm branches have reopened?

Dunelm released a press statement saying that it is reopening all of its stores in England and Northern Ireland.

The announcement stated: “As with everything we've done so far we have approached this carefully. We started by re-opening just a few stores in the Midlands first, then expanded to a group of 39 stores covering more of the UK.

“We are very happy to now be reopening all stores in England and Northern Ireland.”

Customers should be aware that all the Pausa coffee shops in Dunelm will remain closed for the time being.

The announcement also said: “Our stores in Wales and Scotland will remain closed in line with the guidance for those areas, but we hope that we’ll be able to welcome customers back soon.”

Welsh and Scottish customers will still be able to use the Dunelm click and collect service, contact free.

Opening times and available services for your nearest Dunelm store are available on the Dunelm store locator tool.

Will reopened stores provide contactless services?

While many shoppers will be excited to shop in-store, some might still be uncertain about it as the virus continues to spread.

Dunelm states: “For those of you who feel more comfortable staying in your own space, we’ve introduced contact free ways to shop, and with options that include deliveries to your car to virtual appointments with a personal shopper, we hope there’s something for everyone.”

For in-store shopping, fewer customers will be allowed inside shops at a single time, so you may need to queue.

One-way browsing and two-metre floor markings will be implemented. Screens have also been installed at till points and hand sanitiser will be offered to customers throughout the store as well.

If you don’t want to go into the store, you can request for a staff member to do your shopping for you. They’ll take your order and bring your items outside to make your purchase.

For click and collect shopping, you can have your items brought to your car by a store colleague.

Can I order online?

For online deliveries, Dunelm have implemented some changes to make it safer to deliver items.

Where possible, your order will be placed in a safe place and a note will be posted through your letterbox to let you know where to find it.

In the instance where a safe place isn’t appropriate, or your package is large, it will be placed on your doorstep.

The delivery driver will knock on your door and step back to an appropriate distance, where they will verbally confirm your name - this is instead of asking for a signature.
