James Bond fans can now get their hands on a set of unique 007 inspired coins, as the Royal Mint releases its new collection.

The shiny new set of commemorative coins have been released to mark the 25th James Bond film - and they could be worth more than £100.

The 007 coins feature various images from the much-loved spy films, including an Aston Martin DB5 and the infamous spy’s iconic tuxedo. Included in the collection is a half-ounce silver proof coin, that is available to buy for £65.

The cheapest coin in the collection is the brilliant uncirculated £5 silver coin, which is priced at £13.

There are three different £5 coins to collect, each with a different design - including Bond’s tuxedo and classic cars.

Collectors can also get their hands on a one-ounce silver proof coin, which is priced at £88 and limited to 7,007.

A collection of three two-ounce silver coins are also among the collection, featuring the same designs as the £5 coins, but are much pricer at £235 each.

Pricier still is the limited edition quarter-ounce gold coin at £517, which is limited to just 1,007.

How much could they be worth?

If you can get hold of one of the silver proof £2 coins, it could be worth up to £150 if sold to the right collector.

A 2020 commemorative Queen £2 coin recently sold for this price on eBay, so it is possible you could fetch a similar amount for one of the James Bond collections.

As part of the collection, the Royal Mint is also releasing its highest-ever worth coin with a face value of £7,000. The special issue seven-kilo gold proof coin measures 185mm in diameter - around the same size as a small dinner plate - and there is only one in existence, making it extremely valuable to collectors.

As such, the Royal Mint has not set a price for it and is instead inviting collectors to call to place an order.

The impressive coin contains seven kilos of 999.9 fine gold and comes presented in a bespoke, luxurious Globe Trotter attache case - James Bond’s luggage of choice in the film Spectre.

Laura Clancy, who designed the coins, told The Sun, "When the opportunity to design a Bond coin came along, I had to take on the challenge.

"I've found it an incredible privilege - my career high to date and my most successful project."
