Tickets cost £3 a head or £10 a family. For every ticket bought in advance for the club’s firework show, organisers will donate 50p to The Gazette’s Hospice Heroes appeal.

And for every family ticket £1 will come to us.

Comedy comes courtesy of members of the Bread and Butter Theatre Company, who will be compering the evening’s events in cunning disguise, and Musical Ruth, a nun with a magical mobile piano.

Coun Lynne Bowen, cabinet member with responsibility for events at Wyre Council, said: “It’s wonderful the Marine Hall is hosting this hugely successful community event; the gardens will provide a fabulous natural setting I’m sure.

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to add music and comedy to the line up and hope that everyone has an enjoyable night.”

Gates open at 5.30pm with live music starting at 6pm and the fireworks display at 7.30pm. It is free to attend, however donations are encouraged.
