Young Scamps toast being part of outstanding club

The members, past and present, of Stanley Scamps Out Of School Club, Marton, celebrated the club being rated outstanding by Ofsted inspectors at a special party.
The club, situated in Marton United Reform Church on Wordsworth Avenue, close to Stanley Primary School, was praised by the inspectorate in early January.

Hide AdTo mark the club’s second outstanding rating, the club held a party in the Church on Saturday, inviting youngsters, families and special guests.

Owner Rachel Tax said: “It was a brilliant party, we had lots of support. It’s teamwork to achieve something like this so the party brought everyone together.”
In its Ofsted report, Stanley Scamps was told how staff plan “extremely well” to ensure children are “extremely happy” and make progress that complements their school learning.
Ms Tax added: “It was incredible to get that rating.
“Achieving it a second time, we were speechless.
“It shows that everything our children get from coming here is what they want and need.
“Some of the words the inspectors used were so lovely.”
