Williams, a 20-year-old former telesales worker, of Beattock Place, Bispham, pleaded guilty to assault.

She was sentenced to a 12-month community order with up to 20 days’ rehabilitation to be supervised by the Probation Service, fined
£40 with £45 costs, and ordered to pay £85 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Malcolm Isherwood, prosecuting, said police were called to Williams’ home on April 26 at 7.15pm.

She had been out for drinks on her cousin’s birthday than come home and got angry when her partner would not go out with her.

She then pushed and punched him and bit his ear causing it to bleed.

Later her partner retracted his complaint to police.

CONVICTIONS

Steven Townley, defending, said his client, who had no previous convictions, had made it up with her partner later the same evening and they had continued living together.

Williams said she had thrown a plate at the wall, not at him, during the row.

She had punched him in the chest and he had hit her back, the court was told.

There was then a struggle during which she bit
him.
